Portoroz - After the success of Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour - The tour, which in summer of 2022 touched some of the most beautiful and unexplored coastal towns of the peninsula, it's time to talk again about great events organized by Nastro Rosa: next up is Double Mixed Offshore World Championship, named after the title sponsor Mexedia that, thanks to the experience gained during the 2022 edition of the Tour, where he reached the podium with his team of sailors and kite-foilers, has decided to continue its participation in the regattas by Nastro Rosa.
With a unique format in the world, the Double Mixed Offshore World Championship will see ten mixed crews set sail from Portoroz, Slovenia, aboard the ten perfectly equipped Beneteau Figaro 3 made available by the organization: a course of almost 400 miles that will start on Wednesday, September 21st .
After the success of Claudia Rossi and Pietro D'Alì in last year's edition, ten crews from all over the world will try to conquer the Double Mixed Offshore world title: the crews will wear the colors of Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, United States of America and Uruguay.
"Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour season, organized in cooperation with Difesa Servizi, continues with this important intermediate appointment that separates our summer Tour from the iconic Nastro Rosa Veloce, a tour of Italy without stops from Venice to Genoa, which we have scheduled also this year for November, one of the most challenging times of the year to face the sea - commented the CEO of SSI and organizer of Nastro Rosa events, Riccardo Simoneschi, to continue - Today we are guests of Marina Portoroz, which as always turns out to be a splendid location that is reserving an extraordinary welcome and which we are considering to include, starting from 2023, as a foreign leg of our traditional summer Tour. I don't usually draw hasty conclusions, but so far I can be very satisfied with Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour events that have taken hold until today and I say this for two objectives in particular. First of all, we have managed to bring sailing very close to the social fabric and tourist destinations of our country, thus leaving the stereotype of sailing as a "high" and hardly approachable sport. This aspect goes hand in hand with the second objective that we pursue as SSI with Nastro Rosa, that is to make offshore sailing accessible to many sailors from all over the world who otherwise could not participate in this exciting discipline: this element in particular, the offer of all-inclusive boats ready to race, makes each of our events unique and an international benchmark" concluded Simoneschi.
Clock is therefore running before the start of the Double Mixed Offshore World Championship powered by Mexedia, scheduled for 11.00 of Wednesday 21 September, in the waters in front of Portoroz: for all the updates on the regatta, please visit the website nastrorosatour.it and visit the Nastro Rosa social channels.
